This was our last "Universe" event in December... what a ridiculous night that was! With our next event, we proudly introduce some brand new additions to our roster of talent: DJ Ace // DJ Intense // DJ Nap ...all of whom will be tearing up the decks on FRIDAY - APRIL 9 - 2010 at Gossip Nightclub, Plaza of Nations for The Universe II The sequel to A-Town's ultimate University and College jam, will be taking place in VanCity's largest club venue once again. Upcoming Events We did it. We killed it. And on purpose too! We spent 6 years building up this beautiful experience... and then we took pleasure in stomping it into the ground. Ever seen a weed-whacker level a flower-bed? Same thing. But, when we ended High Society @ Ginger62, we wanted the death of Vancouver's finest South Asian club night to play out like an emotional, high drama, death scene from some old black and white classic. Unfortunately, we accidentally clubbed High Society over the head and dumped it into the river, like a character in some new-age gangster flick... ah well, you can't win 'em all! Anyways, before this night ended, everyone and their dog thought that we were joking... or that this was some sort of marketing ploy to hype up sales--mind you, I'm not sure how much we could have hyped up the night it was rammed from wall to wall... constantly. That right there was the problem. The challenge was gone. A-Town Productions had stepped into a city, built a desi scene where none existed... owned it for quite a while... and then got bored. So, what can you expect for the rest of 2010? Well... a bunch of stuff! Read on... The Universe A-Town's largest and most successful university jam to date, 600 frenzied party-goers dumped into Gossip Nightclub and kicked off the launch of our newest party brand. Meant for the 19+ college/university clientele, The Universe is VanCity's newest, craziest, university jam. Don't believe us? Check out the next "The Universe: 2", announced above. Bang, Bang, Bollywood The first South Asian LGBT night of it's kind--and definitely the first of this magnitude--this event has been a consistent love-fest. The music is a bumping mix of European dance hits, Bollywood chart-toppers and Bhangra anthems. If you missed the first two, then stand by for "Bang, Bang, Bollywood III". What else? We'll tell you, but you have to promise to maintain your bladder control.
